One whole year!
What is your job title, and what does your job entail?
My role is Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ for short) and Human Resources Manager.
I focus on the management systems such as:
- Development
- Maintenance
- Compliance
- Recruitment
- Onboarding
- Staff training
- Performance
- Staff wellness
What do you like most about your job?
The challenge of learning Tech Operations. It’s a new world for me.
I also love the fantastic team of people I work with.
What is the best career advice you've learnt so far?
Experience and learning on the job can be just as valuable as getting a uni degree.
What would you do (for a career) if you weren't doing this?
I would be working in the Medical or Veterinary field. I have a considerable interest in Neurology and Medicine.
What do you like to do when you aren't working?
Spending time with my children and friends.
If I could mix that time with them whilst camping, surfing, diving or hiking – I would be a very happy lady!
What’s a fun fact about you that many people may not know?
I’m a proud Nukunu person; my father’s family are from the Flinders Ranges in South Australia.
Where’s your favourite place in the world?
I haven’t had much of an opportunity to travel. But I love being back in the North West.
My home town is Karratha, and its beauty is one of my favourite things to experience.
If you have never been, it’s possibly one of the most amazing places to visit. From its inland rivers, gorges and beaches, it offers some of the very best this beautiful country has to offer!
What is your motto or personal mantra?
It isn’t living if you don’t feel alive
If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Hands down, Sir David Attenborough, what a human!

What is the one thing you can’t live without?
My friends and my kids.
What TV show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?
A show on 9life called Escape to the Chateau – this endearing and quirky couple buy this giant old French Chateau, and their passion and creativity always amaze me.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to instantly travel/ teleport to anywhere in the world.
What is one food that you cannot resist?
I have so many favourite foods, but I can never so no to a hot chip if there are some in front of me!
